Minimal Data Collection
We collect minimal data solely to ensure vote integrity:
- IP Address: To prevent multiple votes from the same network.
- Browser Fingerprint: A unique anonymous ID generated on your device to prevent spam.
- Device Type: Used for analytics (Mobile vs Desktop).
We do NOT collect names, phone numbers, or emails.
Usage & Retention
Data is processed securely and used strictly for aggregating poll results.
- Public Results: Aggregated data is displayed publicly. Individual votes remain private.
- Data Purge: All records will be permanently deleted 30 days after the mock poll concludes.
Regional Integrity
Ensuring Authentic Participation
To maintain the relevance of this poll for the Tamil Nadu context, we implement Geo-Fencing technology. Our systems (powered by Vercel Edge Middleware) automatically detect the region of the voter.
Policy: Participation is primarily restricted to users accessing the internet from within India, with specific focus on Tamil Nadu. Requests from non-targeted regions may be blocked.
